Product Reviews

This cream is AWESOME! I put it on at night and my skin is fresh and ready to roll in the morning. No dodgy fillers.

WARNING: a little goes a long way!

I've been using the Night Cream and it is wonderful! Can't wait to get home and take makeup off each day just to use it!!! Absorbs easily and doesn't leave skin greasy - soaks in beautifully.

My family and I have been enjoying Southern Alps Honey for 3 years now and can't get enough of it. We put it on/in everything (toast, sandwiches, smoothies, marinades, tea). My daughters favourite is the Creamed Alpine Clover and the Multifloral blend. 5+ stars from us. Keep up the good work.

My god the Beech Honeydew is amazing! In kids smoothies and soooo good with tamarillos. We also love it as a sugar substitute. Thank you.

I have been using your Night cream (serum) and it's amazing! It has calmed my over sensitive and very dry skin, down a lot. I would highly recommend.

The clover honey is amazing - never lasts long in our cupboard. Highly recommend!! Even better is knowing where the honey is coming from and supporting an awesome local business. Thanks team.

I'm sure we've tried all flavors now, and I still can't decide on a favorite, they're all so, so good in their own ways! Natural honey from our local hills so close to home, nothing could be better!

I first sampled Southern Alps Honey at The Food Show and since then it's the honey I prefer to buy. The varieties look and taste great right to the bottom of the container. Ordering was easy and it arrived quickly.

Honey - from Hive to Customer

Southern Alps Honey Bees

  • Nestled amongst the South Island's main divide, in remote high country hills and native forests, we harvest raw, pristine honey produced by our bees through sustainable beekeeping practices
  • Each hive is strategically positioned to cause minimal disturbance to the land and bees have access to fresh water, plenty of pollen and a nectar source.
  • Over the winter, our bees feed on the honey they have produced and stored in the warmer seasons. We do not need to feed sugar syrup over this time and believe this is better for the overall health and wellbeing of our bees.
  • Hives are located on the south side of the Rakaia Gorge in alpine and sub alpine areas where the bees produce clover honey, and along the foothills from Mount Hutt to Staveley.
  • A small-scale insect sucks the sap of beech trees and produces a sweet substance called Honeydew’. Tui, Bellbirds, Kaka, bees, native insects, and lizards depend on the Honeydew for food, especially in winter when there is not much else to eat.
